Modernization of the Orthozentrum Bergstraße in Heppenheim

The modernization began with a careful planning phase and the submission of the building application for the extension and the floor plan changes. Following official approval, chore took over the complete construction management of the project. The work initially comprised selective demolition measures with professional disposal, followed by extensive drywall construction, interior plastering and painting work. High-quality floor coverings were laid for the new room concepts and the sanitary facilities were completely renewed.

Particular attention was paid to the creation of a disabled-access WC and the renovation and replacement of all sanitary objects in accordance with modern standards. In terms of the electrical installation, the chore team replaced all switches and sockets and developed a well thought-out lighting concept with a suitable selection and installation of new lights. A particular technical challenge was posed by the electrical connections for the large medical equipment such as MRI and X-ray equipment, which were implemented taking into account special safety requirements such as emergency stop switches.

After completion of the work, the Orthozentrum Bergstraße presents itself as a modern and visually appealing practice facility that nevertheless retains the character of the listed building. The new premises meet all the functional requirements of a modern orthopaedic practice and offer an optimal environment for both patients and medical staff.
